Claude O. Pressnell is president and CEO of the Tennessee Independent Colleges and Universities Association (TICUA) and founder and CEO of the Tennessee Student Aid Alliance. Previously he has served as executive director of the Tennessee Foundation for Independent Colleges and as vice-president and founding executive director of the Institute for Family Studies in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Dr. Pressnell has an extensive background in higher education, having held several positions in admissions and financial aid at Belmont University and Southwest Baptist University. He serves as an educational consultant on a national and international basis and his clients include the U.S. Department of State and several central and eastern European governments. The author of numerous publications on higher education, he holds degrees from Vanderbilt University (Ed.D.), Wheaton College (M.A.) and Southwest Baptist University (B.A.). Dr. Pressnell resides in Franklin, Tennessee and worships at St. Bartholomew’s Church (Episcopal/Anglican).
