A magna cum laude graduate from the University of North Georgia, Avery Ross received his degree in management with a minor in psychology. He was selected for the Cottrell Scholars Program honoring his outstanding academic performance, communication skills, and student involvement at UNG.
Since his graduation in December 2015, Avery has had the opportunity to explore Europe, enjoy employment as a marketing consultant, and direct leadership programs for high school students. These experiences have developed his desire to dramatically grow in his faith and his leadership abilities.
Avery plans to pursue a career in public service and higher education devoted to equipping future leaders and eradicating extreme poverty. He sees the John Jay Institute as providing a close community with those whose faith compels them to act and advocate for others and he is thrilled to have an opportunity to absorb as much knowledge as possible and gain clarity on the next steps for his future.
