David graduated with honors from the University of Texas, Austin with a degree in history and a minor in French. David was born in Durham, England moving with his family to Houston in December 2010. At the University of Texas, he studied as an undergraduate fellow at the Clements Center for National Security and as a student in the British Studies Department. David was the College of Liberal Arts Merit Scholar, the British Studies Department Churchill Scholar, the Marie and Bill Ashby Endowed Presidential Scholar, and the Perkins Endowed Presidential Scholar. He was also the recipient of the Raymond E. Starr Scholarship for History.
While at the Saratoga Fellowship Program, David hopes to develop personally as a principled leader and gain an understanding of the principles of American military service in order to strengthen the Anglo-American military alliance in his future career. His desire is to serve his home country as an officer in the Royal Marines.
