2016 John Jay Fellow
Born in Metairie, Louisiana and raised in Winter Springs, Florida, Constance (Claire) Aguda has a keen interest in culture and a desire to glorify God in whatever she does. She earned a baccalaureate degree with a double major in Literature and International Affairs as well as a master’s degree in Education Leadership and Policy from Florida State University. Claire served as President of Delta Alpha Chi Christian Sorority, studied abroad in London, participated in orchestral and vocal musical groups, and was a member of multiple honor societies throughout her collegiate career.
Claire worked as the Center for American Ideals intern at the James Madison Institute (JMI), Florida’s leading think tank, in the areas of education reform and communications. She has been an active member of her community, especially serving at her church.
Claire looks forward to learning about natural law, human flourishing, and other ideals that have shaped our society at the John Jay Institute and she hopes to propagate these ideals for the next generation.
